About the Candidate

We are looking to recruit a new member of our busy and dedicated Estates Team. You will have a passion to make a positive impact on our learners by assisting in providing outstanding facilities and service. 

About the Role

Working within a close knit Estates team, you will assist in providing 'soft services' to the college group

Role Responsibilities 

• Opening and securing college campuses
• Carrying out basic repairs
• Completion of planned preventative maintenance schedules 
• Setting up furniture as and when required
• Removal of litter and waste daily
• Supervision of contractors and visitors 

Qualifications

• A valid UK driving licence and the ability to travel between sites to cover a shift system between 06:00 and 23:00

Essential Skills & Experience

• Use of hand tools
• Manual handling
• Accurate record keeping

About the Candidate

Do you have the skills and drive to lead a small Estates team looking after out Hartlepool campus? You will supervise the onsite team, part of the larger EPNE Estates team, to continue to drive improvements to our facilities and service and provide the best possible experience for our leaners. Ability to lead from the front, problem solve and coordinate the team to ensure the day to day operation of the site meets the high standards of EPNE.     

About the Role

You will lead the team to provide a proactive and customer focused service, to not only ensure our Hartlepool Sixth Form Campus remains available and fit for purpose, but also in the continued drive for improvements to both our facilities and the service delivered from the Estates department.    

Role Responsibilities 

• Manage service desk requests, low level maintenance tasks and Planned Preventive Maintenance schedules ensuring required work is completed in a timely and professional manner.
• Coordinate and support Estates Technicians in the completion of day to day activities, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard and in line with departmental procedures.
• Work with line manager to ensure applicable Facilities Management services are maintained in accordance with legislation.
• Ensure appropriate staffing resources are available via staff rotas to meet business needs.
• Work with line manager to drive improvements in energy efficiency, recording metrics to identify high usage.          

Qualifications

• Level 2 Maths and English or willingness to work towards
• Health & Safety Qualification or willingness to work towards
• A valid UK driving licence    

Essential Skills & Experience 

• Previously employed within an  Estates / facilities Management role
• Use of IT based systems
• Compliance to Health & Safety legislation and guidelines  

Desirable Skills & Experience – (Optional)

• Experience leading a team
• Basic trouble shooting of HVAC plant
