About the Candidate

The Contracts Officer role involves working with the team’s Programme Managers and other managers across the Group to ensure the requirements of externally funded contracts are fulfilled, contract delivery is compliant and income is maximised. Successful stakeholder relationship management both internally and externally are a critical part of the role. 

We are looking for experienced candidates with a strong demonstrable track record coordinating the delivery of the end to end supply chain management process, for subcontracted delivery from procurement, contracting, quality, finance, risk, audit, funding compliance and assurance. Preferably within the Further Education sector.

The External Funding & Contracts function procures and manages all of the college’s subcontracted delivery, identifies funding opportunities, supports the college to prepare strong proposals to secure external funding, and works with curriculum and support departments to ensure the effectively delivery of funded projects and programmes.

About the Role

Working as part of a close knit Estates Team, you will support the day to day operation of the College’s campuses by assisting in the delivery of a wide range of estates and facilities services.

This is a varied and hands on role involving campus opening and closing, general site upkeep, basic maintenance tasks, planned preventative maintenance, room setups, waste management and ensuring the overall presentation, safety and functionality of our buildings and grounds.

No two days are the same, and the role requires a proactive and flexible approach to support the smooth running of the College environment for learners, staff and visitors.

This is a new and developing provision, which gives you the opportunity to shape systems, support pathways and learner experience from the start. You will work closely with curriculum teams, support services and external partners to ensure learners receive the right support at the right time.

This role offers strong development opportunities in SEND practice, multi-agency working and trauma-informed approaches. You will contribute to staff development and help embed inclusive practice across the college.

Role Responsibilities

You will be comfortable working in a varied and fast paced environment where no two days are the same, and will always maintain a professional and customer focused approach.

Experience within estates, facilities or maintenance environments would be beneficial, however attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are equally important to this role.       

About the Role

Working as part of a close knit Estates Team, you will support the day to day operation of the college's campuses by assisting in the delivery of a wide range of estates and facilities services.

This is a varied and hands on role involving campus opening and closing, general site upkeep, basic maintenance tasks, planned preventive maintenance, room set ups, waste management and ensuring the overall presentation, safety and functionality of our buildings and grounds.

No two days are the same, and the role requires a proactive and flexible approach to support the smooth running of the college environment for learners, staff and visitors.     

Role Responsibilities 

• Opening and securing of college premises
• Carrying out basic repairs
• Completion of planned preventive maintenance schedules
• Setting up furniture as and when required
• Removal of litter and waste daily
• Supervision of contractors and visitors 

Qualifications

• A valid UK driving licence and the ability to travel between sites to cover a shift system between 06:00 and 23:00

About the Role

As an Inclusion Mentor, you will work collaboratively with curriculum teams and student support services to provide tailored support to students with learning difficulties, disabilities, emotional needs and behavioural challenges.

You will play a key role in helping students integrate into college life, overcome barriers to learning and develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed. Working closely with teaching staff and other professionals, you will contribute to personalised support strategies, monitor student progress and help create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide mentoring and tailored support to students with SEND and additional learning needs across mainstream and discrete college courses.
• Support the development, implementation and review of individualised assessment and support strategies.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, curriculum teams and student support professionals to address barriers to learning.
• Identify emerging concerns at an early stage and communicate these effectively to relevant staff and managers.
• Promote student engagement, independence, confidence, wellbeing and positive behaviour.

About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about inclusion, understands the diverse needs of young people and is committed to helping every learner reach their potential.

You will ideally have:

• A relevant qualification in care, learning support or youth work, preferably NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
• GCSEs in English and Maths.
• Experience supporting individuals with SEND or additional learning needs.
• Knowledge of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), assessment and support plans.
• An understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and the Equality Act.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
